I am
66
years young, have been doing this most of my life,
I bleed design!
I have been drawing since I was a child and did my first professional job at 14
(a caricature of my dad’s friend for a newspaper ad).
While attending college I studied Art, Graphic Design and Computer Science
and worked as a printing press operator and supervisor.
After college I started a screen printing company and produced 350,000 items
per year in textiles for local and national clients. I sold that business in 1989
and moved to Lake Tahoe.
After moving, I managed multiple printing companies, but wanted to focus on
art,
so I started doing freelance work for other agencies until I built a clientele.
I founded deZign•effects in 1996 doing mostly print media. I started
building websites in 2000. I do all the graphics, programming and SEO on
websites. Since 2000 my primary clients have been marine based companies
(Cruise Ship, Offshore Oil) with additional clients within the local community.
I am very diversified and have extensive portfolios showing
Logos,
Print Media including
book covers,
packaging,
brochures,
infographics,
Signage including
wayfinding,
safety,
banners,
architectural, and
Screen Printing,
and some
other cool stuff.
I am skilled at Adobe
Indesign,
Photoshop,
Illustrator, and
Technical Illustration.
I also program CSS, PHP, MYSQL, database creation and conversion.
